The Kinema In The Woods

cinemapic.jpg - 51339 Bytes

This unique establishment is one of the few cinemas in the country to employ back projection. It also offers entertainment on an original Compton Organ.

The Kinema was one of the first cinemas in this country, hence its name. The building which houses it is older still, before conversion to a cinema it was a cricket pavilion. During the Second World War the many servicemen who were stationed in the area nick-named the Kinema "the Flicks in the Sticks".

There are two screens: The Kinema in the Woods and Kinema Too.
Bookings can be made in advance.
